The Holy Year Indulgence may be gained in the following circumstances as well.
In any place, as individuals visit for a suitable time for their brothers and sisters in need or difficulty (the sick, the imprisoned, the elderly living alone, the handicapped, etc.) as if making a pilgrimage to Christ present in them. The faithful may wish to repeat these visits throughout the Holy Year, since on each occasion they can gain the plenary indulgence, although obviously not more than once a day.
Participation in the Eucharist, which is required for all indulgences, should properly take place on teh same day that the prescribed works are performed or that the Jubilee Church or Shrine is visited.
Prayers for Our Holy Father such as the Our Father and the Hail Mary or other prayers should be said as required for the plenary indulgences.
Sacramental Confession may be fulfilled several days before or after performance of the above prescribed works.
